ABOUT ME
My name is Valentina Rios Diaz, born in Santiago, Chile, in 1991.
I studied professional photography at the ARCOS Professional Institute of Art and Communications for four years in Santiago, Chile.
My passion for photography blossomed during my adolescence, and I took courses during my youth in both analog and digital photography before studying it professionally.

I began my professional career in 2010 and started working in plastic surgery photography in 2013. I decided to take a two-year break from my studies at that time in order to gain more experience in this field. In late 2015, I completed my studies and presented my photographic exhibition Las Tres Gracias at the Fundación Cultural Casa de los Diez.
Throughout my studies, I worked as an event photographer as well as for different communication media, publishing my work in the society pages of newspapers and magazines like Grupo Copesa, Paula magazine, Hola, Qué pasa, and La Tercera.

Since moving to Berlin in 2018, I have taken on a wide range of photography projects as a freelance photographer.
In 2022, I worked for Dr. Gabriele Minz GmbH, a cultural and communications agency, on the “13 Horizonte” project. I captured unique moments at each of the cultural events, comprising concerts, art exhibitions, and film features, for the thirteen countries' embassies that were included. I worked at 10 venues from Konzerthaus to Kesselhaus in der Kulturbrauerei, and honed my intercultural skills working with foreign diplomats, dignitaries, and other cultural actors.
Aside from my technical abilities, I also pride myself on being a down-to-earth, respectful photographer.
I understand that being in front of the camera can be intimidating, which is why I always make it a priority to make my clients feel at ease. I am careful and diligent in my process, and I aim to not only create beautiful images, but also positive memories that will last a lifetime.
